In the intricate world of wine, Teodora has carved out a space uniquely her own. She is not only the importer, distributor and ambassador of Romanian wines in the United States but also an exporter of Washington State’s wines. Her company, Teinnovadora, is more than a business—it is a women-powered mission to bring underrepresented wine regions and remarkable stories to the global wine conversation.

A Bridge Between Wine Worlds

Starting just months before the pandemic in 2019, when the future of hospitality seemed uncertain, Teodora leaned into her resilience. Alone, she advocated for Romanian wines—still very little known to many American consumers—while trying to open new international markets for Washington State’s vibrant producers.

She became a bridge, connecting vineyards to tables, tradition to innovation, and stories to the glasses of curious drinkers.

Recognition with Meaning

Wines in her portfolio have collected medals at prestigious competitions and earned 90+ point scores from critics. Wines from her portfolio were featured at James Suckling Best Wines of the World.

Yet, behind every accolade lies a story: small producers gaining visibility abroad, underrepresented regions finding their place on the world stage, and women proving they can lead in one of the toughest corners of the industry.

A Rare Dual Mission

Her dual role is as rare as it is impactful. Few importers champion a country as overlooked as Romania, and few exporters manage to place Washington wines in international markets where Old World producers still dominate. Teodora is doing both.

But beyond the wines lies her deeper mission: to show that women in wine can lead, persevere, and inspire. Teodora’s work is deeply personal—each partnership she forges, each market she opens, each story she tells—represents not only a bottle of wine sold, but also a voice for women entrepreneurs proving that strength and vision transcend borders.

For Teodora, wine is more than a business. It is about building bridges—between cultures, between histories, and between people who dare to challenge the status quo. Her company is women-powered, her vision global, and her impact unmistakable.
